In this lecture, “Looking Anew at European Prints and Drawings,” curator Lara Yeager-Crasselt introduces the exhibition Looking North and South: European Prints and Drawings, 1500–1650. Highlighting Dutch, Flemish, German, and Italian prints and drawings from the Clark’s permanent collection, Yeager-Crasselt explores the importance of artistic exchange across Europe in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and the ways in which it contributed to changes and dialogues in artistic practice, tradition, and collaboration.
